USE OF THE CONCERT GRAND PIANOS
IN LOTTE LEHMANN CONCERT HALL AND CAMPBELL HALL
I. REFERENCE:
Piano Committee's memorandum to Music Faculty and Students, dated
May 9, 1972.
II. POLICY:
A. Use of Pianos/Harpsichord:
The Dowd Harpsichord and the two concert grand pianos in Lotte
Lehmann Concert Hall may be used for only the following
purposes:
1. Faculty recitals, including as an accompaniment
instrument.
2. Senior or graduate recitals, including as an accompaniment
instrument.
3. As a solo instrument for the UCSB orchestra.
4. For visiting piano artists, either as a solo or
accompaniment instrument, sponsored by a UCSB academic
department or by Arts and Lectures.
5. For one rehearsal prior to the performance specified
above.
B. Authority:
1. The pianos and/or the harpsichord in Lotte Lehmann Concert
Hall may be used only upon written approval of the chair
of the Department of Music and/or Piano Committee. After
written permission has been received and presented, the
Department of Music's Scheduling Committee will schedule
the use of the piano.
2. The piano in Campbell Hall may be used only upon written
permission of the Arts and Lectures Program.
