| In support of the mission and goals of the University, Equipment
Management reviews all transactions related to the acquisition, modification,
transfer and disposition of inventorial assets, in order to provide
compliance with University policies and Federal, State and agency
regulations, screening and audit requirements and in order to assist
departments, in the most efficient manner possible, in the accurate
maintenance of their equipment records. |
- Issues property tags for all of the Santa Barbara campus's inventorial
assets
- Tracks all inventorial assets from the point of the initial
acquisition until their final disposal, including the review of
Purchase Orders, Gift Forms, Loan Agreements, Equipment Inventory
Modification Requests, and agency disposition instructions
- Maintains and audits the campus inventorial database (Capital
Assets Tracking System, or CATS)
- Conducts the physical inventory process required under University
policy
- Provides asset tracking and other reports, as required, to University,
Federal, State and other agencies, in compliance with all pertinent
policies and requirements
